Eight Studios Win Awards

Awards for the most featured studio of movie and television were announced at the Shanghai Film Art Center yesterday. Zhang Pimin, deputy director of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Televisionk, and Tang Lijun,  executive vice secretary-general of SIFF organizing committee attended the award ceremony.

The eight award-winning bases include Xitang-the most charming water town, Hengdian-the most historical film park, Xiangshan-the most potential film base, Shanghai Film and Television Park-the most metropolis, Wuxi's CCTV film base-the most natural one, Zhongshan-the most exotic one, Taohua Island-the most romantic one and Sha Jiabang-the most representative of traditional art.

"As an important carrier of film shooting, base of film and television play an important role in improving the development of film and television industry and tourism economy,"  said Zhang Pimin.

"This year's competition is only a beginning and next year's will see more entries. More and more bases from home and abroad will participate in the exhibitions of film parks," revealed Tang Lijun, "I hope the show will serve as a bridge for film and television insiders in China and other countries to exchange ideas of shooting."
