What are the government¡¯s requirements if I would like to construct a set? Are there different requirements if the set is located in a city or outside a city?

A: According to the Chinese government’s regulations, filming sets are not allowed to be constructed in cultural heritage areas and tourist attraction spots; regardless of whether the set will be constructed within or outside a city, the prior permission of the local regulatory authority must be obtained before any set construction can commence.
